Breast Augmentation Aftercare

Medication
You need to take prescribed medication for 5 days. Post-surgery bandage and patches should be removed on 14th
day after the surgery.

Garments
Compression garments should be worn for 1 month at all times. During the day you are allowed to take it off for 10-
20 minutes. The next month you have to wear compression garments only at night.

Sleeping
First three weeks you need to keep you head and shoulders higher while sleeping (pillow at 30⁰ angle or bolster
under pillow). Sleeping on a side is allowed after a week following surgery. Sleeping on breast is allowed in 3
months following surgery.

Hygiene
The next day following surgery you can take warm shower. It is forbidden to take bath for 4 weeks following
surgery. Bandages and patches should not be removed while taking shower.

Food and Drinks
No limitation in food. It is forbidden to drink alcohol drinks first 10 days following surgery.

Smoking
If you smoke, it is recommended to decrease the quantity of cigarettes a months before surgery and try to smoke
less the first month following surgery. Smokers have 2-3 times longer rehabilitation period.

Sports
Squats without weights, passive leg exercises in 4 weeks after surgery. Power training, dancing, swimming, tennis,
running, jumping and so on are allowed in 6 months after surgery. Sauna, active sunbathing is allowed on 4 th week
following surgery.

Work and Family
You can come back to work as you feel. You can drive on 7 th day following surgery. You can carry a baby up to
10kg in 2 weeks, 10-20kg – in 3 weeks. It is forbidden to bend and lift loads.

Sex
It is not recommended during the first week following surgery due to possible bleeding.

Pregnancy
It is not recommended to get pregnant during the first year following surgery, as it can change the shape of the
breast.

Medication

Fixation
Nose fixator should be removed on 7-10 day following surgery. It can come unstuck at home. After it is removed, it
should be fixed with a plaster at night for the next 2-3 weeks.
After the fixator is completely removed, you will be given special plates, which you will put on the nasal dorsum

Sleeping
